Battery Boost in DeCamp, CA

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; DeCamp is about 3,654 km away. What it involves: A boost for a dead battery, by a roadside service we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A slow crank on a cold morning is often the first sign of a tired battery.

What CarmaCars does here

Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job.

Before the shop starts

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.

Between shop visits

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
