Car rental for young drivers in Toronto
Many rental companies turn away young drivers or limit them to a few cars. At CarmaCars, drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent, and almost every car in the fleet takes drivers aged 18 to 20. What young drivers pay
There are two age bands: 18 to 20 and 21 to 25. The usual fee is $35 a day for the first band and $20 a day for the second, and some cars have their own. The fee is added for each day of the rental and appears as its own line in your offer, so you see the total before you pay. Additional drivers under 26 pay it too.
What you need
An Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and a credit card in your own name for the payment and the deposit. Before pickup we check your licence and identity with photos you upload, and at the handover we check the original licence and card. Tips for a first rental
Walk around the car with us at the handover and point out any mark you see: we photograph it, so nobody blames you for it later. Return the car with the same fuel or charge it had, keep to the kilometres included, and avoid the 407 ETR unless you are happy to pay its tolls plus $15 for each notice.
