Battery Boost in Donner, CA

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Donner is about 3,418 km away. The job: A boost for a dead battery, by a roadside service we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A slow crank on a cold morning is often the first sign of a tired battery.

How we help

We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in.

Between shop visits

Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.
