Battery Boost in Summit, IL

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Summit is about 731 km away. What this is: A boost for a dead battery, by a roadside service we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A slow crank on a cold morning is often the first sign of a tired battery.

What we arrange

Your request reaches a person, not a machine. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins.

Getting a clear quote

Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.

Small things that help

Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
