Battery Boost: how we help

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 501 km from The P Patch, and does not do this work itself. Plainly: A boost for a dead battery, by a roadside service we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Lights left on overnight are the classic reason for a flat battery.

The steps

We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.

Small things that help

Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
