Car Diagnostics in Excel

If you need a diagnostic check in Excel: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. What it involves: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

From request to repair

Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive.

Between shop visits

Check that all lights work every few weeks. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.

Before the shop starts

Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.

Toronto based

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Excel. The distance is about 2,475 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

If the car can come to the Toronto area, we can arrange a trusted shop there. For work in Excel, ask in a request and we tell you honestly whether we know a shop there. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Excel if you like. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
