Car Diagnostics in Five Points, NY

Car Diagnostics in Five Points

If your car needs a diagnostic check, send a request: we find a trusted shop for it and keep you moving with a rental. The job: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

What to send us

If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you.

A rental while you wait

We can have the rental ready the day your car goes in. A rental bridges the days your car is at the shop. Skip the delivery fee by picking the car up from us.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.

Car care, briefly

Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
