Car Diagnostics in Huron, MS

Getting it done

If you need a diagnostic check in Huron: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. What it involves: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

What to send us

You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done.

Between shop visits

Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.

Talking to the shop

Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
