Car Diagnostics in Leaf, CA

Getting it done

If you need a diagnostic check in Leaf: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. What it involves: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

How the arrangement works

Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare.

Good habits for your car

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.

A short checklist

Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
