Arranging the work in Longbottom
Car Diagnostics in Longbottom: CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works only in the Toronto area. A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.
What we arrange
The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Your request reaches a person, not a machine. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job.
Small things that help
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.
Getting a clear quote
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
