Car Diagnostics in Mapleton, ND

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Mapleton is about 1,430 km away. The job: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

Who does what

The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.

Between shop visits

Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.

Getting a clear quote

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
