Car Diagnostics in Murphy, ID

Car Diagnostics for Murphy

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Murphy is about 2,983 km away. In short: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

Who does what

We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price.

Between shop visits

Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.

Getting a clear quote

Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
