Car Diagnostics in Rices, NY

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Rices is about 265 km away. Plainly: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

Our part and the shop's part

We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare.

Car care, briefly

Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can.

Before the shop starts

Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
