Car Diagnostics in Ritchie, TX

Car Diagnostics for Ritchie

Car Diagnostics in Ritchie: CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works only in the Toronto area. What it involves: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

The steps

Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven.

Car care, briefly

Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.

Talking to the shop

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.
