Car Diagnostics in Smith, AB

Car Diagnostics in Smith

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Smith. The job: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

Who does what

You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare.

Between shop visits

Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive.

Before the shop starts

Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.
