Car Diagnostics in Van, UT

Arranging the work in Van

We arrange a diagnostic check through shops in the Toronto area. We have no location in Van. What this is: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

Our part and the shop's part

Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive.

Small things that help

Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow.

A short checklist

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
