Car Diagnostics in Walker, ID

Car Diagnostics in Walker

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 2,588 km from Walker, and does not do this work itself. The job: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

What to send us

We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile.

Questions to ask the shop

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.

Between shop visits

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
