Getting it done
We arrange a diagnostic check through shops in the Toronto area. We have no location in Wayne County. The job: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
What CarmaCars does here
We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work.
A rental while you wait
Keep moving with a rental while your car is at the shop, by the day at our usual rates. We deliver the rental, or you collect it from us for free. You are also welcome to collect the car at our location for free.
Small things that help
Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.
Before the shop starts
Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.
Your move
Tell us what is wrong with the car, and we arrange the rest with a trusted shop.
