Car Diagnostics in Windham, VT

Arranging the work in Windham

We arrange a diagnostic check through shops in the Toronto area. We have no location in Windham. What it involves: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

Our part and the shop's part

We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.

Good habits for your car

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
