Emissions Test in Alpha, OH

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Alpha is about 598 km away. Plainly: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

What to send us

Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

Questions to ask the shop

If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate.

Car care, briefly

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
