Our part and the shop's part

The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done.

Getting a clear quote

Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.

Car care, briefly

Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
