Emissions Test in Appleton, ID

Emissions Test: how we help

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 2,845 km from Appleton, and does not do this work itself. An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

How we help

You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare.

Talking to the shop

Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.

Between shop visits

Check that all lights work every few weeks. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter.
