Emissions Test in Asylum, CA

Emissions Test: how we help

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Asylum. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

How we help

We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car.

Before the shop starts

Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.

Small things that help

Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.
