Emissions Test in Avena, CA

Emissions Test: how we help

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 3,541 km from Avena, and does not do this work itself. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

What CarmaCars does here

You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare.

Between shop visits

Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.

Before the shop starts

Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
