Emissions Test: how we help

If you need an emissions test in Bailey: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

Who does what

We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

A short checklist

If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.

Car care, briefly

Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.

Honest about distance

CarmaCars works from one location in Toronto and does not operate in Bailey. We deliver within about 250 km of Toronto. Bailey, about 530 km away, is beyond that.
