Emissions Test in Canada
An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars.
CarmaCars does not do this work itself. Send a request and a person replies: we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one, and we can deliver a rental car to you while yours is in.

Getting it done
We arrange an emissions test through shops in the Toronto area. We have no location in Canada. What this is: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
What CarmaCars does here
We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job.
Driving while yours is at the shop
Keep moving with a rental while your car is at the shop, by the day at our usual rates. A rental keeps the school run and the commute on track. If you come to us, the pickup is free.
Small things that help
Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
What to ask
Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.
When you know your dates
Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
