Emissions Test in Captain, VA

Emissions Test for Captain

For an emissions test in Captain, know first that CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works in the Toronto area. An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

The steps

Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. A person replies within one business day.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.

Between shop visits

Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
