Emissions Test in Carma, Michoacan

Getting it done

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Carma. What this is: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

How the arrangement works

The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive.

Small things that help

Look at the tire tread before long trips. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.

Getting a clear quote

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
