Emissions Test in Castleton, VA

Arranging the work in Castleton

Searching for emissions test in Castleton? CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our shops are in the Toronto area. What it involves: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

The steps

You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done.

Between shop visits

Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.

Getting a clear quote

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
