Emissions Test in Chamú, Michoacan

Getting it done

If you need an emissions test in Chamú: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. In short: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

Who does what

The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. Your request reaches a person, not a machine. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile.

Talking to the shop

If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.

Between shop visits

Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
