Emissions Test in Dean, CA

Emissions Test in Dean

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Dean. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

The steps

Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location.

Talking to the shop

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.

Good habits for your car

Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
