Emissions Test in Dixie, NY

Arranging the work in Dixie

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Dixie. An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

Our part and the shop's part

Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. Your request reaches a person, not a machine.

Between shop visits

Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Check that all lights work every few weeks.

Talking to the shop

If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.

What CarmaCars covers

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Dixie is outside the area we serve. About 524 km from our location in Toronto, Dixie is too far for our delivery area of about 250 km.

If we do not know a shop in Dixie, we say so rather than guess. For work in Dixie, ask in a request and we tell you honestly whether we know a shop there. Tell us what you are planning in Dixie, and we will say what we can and cannot do. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
