How we help

We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate.

Car care, briefly

If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.
