Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

What to send us

Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. Your request reaches a person, not a machine.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.

Between shop visits

Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
