Emissions Test for Freestone

An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

The steps

We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. Your request reaches a person, not a machine. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare.

Before the shop starts

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.

Good habits for your car

Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
