Emissions Test in Gerber, CA

Getting it done

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Gerber. Plainly: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

From request to repair

If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.

Between shop visits

Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Look at the tire tread before long trips.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.

Our area, and Gerber
