Emissions Test in Globe, VA

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Globe is about 683 km away. In short: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

What to send us

If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car.

Before the shop starts

Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.

Between shop visits

Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
