Emissions Test in Hardee, MS

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Hardee is about 1,599 km away. Plainly: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

The steps

We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

Talking to the shop

Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.

Between shop visits

If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.

What we cover
