Emissions Test in Hatfield, CA

Arranging the work in Hatfield

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 3,411 km from Hatfield, and does not do this work itself. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

What we arrange

Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.

Between shop visits

Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
