From request to repair

Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins.

Good habits for your car

Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.

What to ask

Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.
