Emissions Test in Herbert, IL

Emissions Test: how we help

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Herbert. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

What we arrange

The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare.

Getting a clear quote

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.

Good habits for your car

Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
