What to send us

We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins.

Good habits for your car

Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.

Before the shop starts

Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
