Emissions Test in Lorin, Berkeley

Arranging the work in Lorin

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 3,637 km from Lorin, and does not do this work itself. What it involves: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

What to send us

The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. A person replies within one business day. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins.

Good habits for your car

If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.

Getting a clear quote

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.
