Emissions Test in Mitchelltown, VA

Getting it done

We arrange an emissions test through shops in the Toronto area. We have no location in Mitchelltown. What it involves: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

The steps

If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair.

A short checklist

Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.

Small things that help

Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter.
