What CarmaCars does here

Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. Your request reaches a person, not a machine. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job.

Talking to the shop

Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.

Between shop visits

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
