How the request works

Small things that help

Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.

Before the shop starts

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
