What to send us

If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins.

Getting a clear quote

Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.

Good habits for your car

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.
