An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

What CarmaCars does here

We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven.

A short checklist

Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.

Between shop visits

Check that all lights work every few weeks. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
