Emissions Test in San Augustine, CA

Getting it done

For an emissions test in San Augustine, know first that CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works in the Toronto area. An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

Our part and the shop's part

Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven.

A short checklist

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.

Car care, briefly

Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.
