Emissions Test in Smith River, CA

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Smith River is about 3,620 km away. Plainly: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

What we arrange

We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. A person replies within one business day. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.

Car care, briefly

Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.

What to ask

Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.
